Basic functions: Workspace explained

The following illustrations show you an overview of the workspace and its basic functions in the Bookfactory design software.

Basic functions: Activate automatic saving

We recommend activating the "Save automatically" function. This way you are sure that nothing is lost after saving your project for the first time.You can activate the "Save automatically" option in the programme menu under Settings.

Basic functions: Design mode (Automatic, Smart Layout, Manual)

The Bookfactory design software offers you three design options. Automatic: Simple and quick to achieve your goal.You select your favourite motifs from your image sources. These are then automatically placed in your selected product by the Bookfactor

Basic functions: I miss some functions (switching to manual mode)

The Bookfactory design software usually starts with the "Smart Layout" mode. If you want to leave the supporting mode and want access to all design options, switch to the manual design mode.

Basic functions: Change product options

Have you already started with the design but want a different paper or a different cover? Simply change the attributes of your product during the design process.

Basic functions: Change template package

Select a specific template package and apply it across the entire project. Use the arrow to navigate to the contents of the selected template pack and use the backgrounds and stickers it contains individually for your design.

Did you make a wrong decision when choosing a product?Would you like to order your wedding book in the leather version additionally as a less expensive booklet or Wire-O as a gift for another family member?. With the function "Change format" you can
